RN Risk Manager

Risk Manager/ Patient Safety Officer is responsible for the analysis of variance, medical error, grievance and claim exposure data and the transfer of the lessons learned to the development, enhancement and implementation of creative risk control. Patient safety and risk modification plans for Hospital. Responsible on a day to day basis for the effective management and resolution of risk situations in a manner that aligns the stakeholders, reduces the risk of reoccurrence, improves the quality of care and promotes patient safety. Responds to and investigates actual and potential sentinel events, attends Root Cause Analysis and Failure Mode & Effects Analysis meetings called to review serious and/or reportable events with the involved parties.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. Must have a Florida license as a Health Care Risk Manager.

Five years of hospital-related Risk Management experience with responsibility in administering self-insurance programs. Experience should include the handling of all aspects of a professional liability program, a comprehensive general liability program and the design and placement of property and casualty insurance coverage. Experience in working with workers compensation programs preferred
